I don't think creating such publicity will get smokers to quit smoking. It's up to the individual actually. If they have the determination to quit, they will. Otherwise, there's no stopping them to smoke. -
I think they should advertise on heavy rotation. Cancer mouth auntie, then surgeon remove lung, then a new one is to burn money and smoke. LOL.

If they really want to prevent people from smoking right,just banned smoking lah,like how they ban chewing gum in singapore.
Is chewing gum harmful to your health compare with smoking??????

The advertisement is just to show that they do show care and concern to the health of Singaporeans.Ban smoking in bus stop also another joke hahaa the person who smoke outside the bus stop,the smoke can still flew back depend on the direction of the wind,the smell is still there near the smoker,if really sincere,just ban smoking.

when the government has to step in regarding your own personal health.
they can only advice, and deter, through such means as well as by raising prices. but they cannot ban as there are too many drawbacks such as tourism, revenue etc...
In the end, its up to you whether u wanna smoke. -

quite useful cos will scare people to quit cos in addition their frens or family will ask them to quit, they want to quit half way work or go chiong see people smoke see girls SMOKE back again cos they always have thew idea that smoking fetish is cool like they are so man or their balls are great something like that but anyway... smoking kills try to smoke less i'd say, quiting take time right?

the ad looks creepy, it did freak me out the first time i saw it.

ad or poster might work effectively on kids..
what i think is it depends on individual.. if one has the will to quit, he will. govt do not have to do so much stunts showin the ads and poster or printin ugly things on cigarette cover.

The ad is digusting but not very convincing. Everyday, I see my smoker friends and colleagues continue their habit regardless. In fact, my father-in-law has been going at a pack a day and he is still healthy at the age of 70. Getting cancer like the woman in the commercial is probably an extreme case. Otherwise we would see such persons more often in our lives given the number of smokers that we know.
