Unsuccessful DAE and private institutions

  asking on behalf of a friend
  
  if the status of the DAE application indicates unsuccessful, will a second chance be given if i do down physically to the school to appeal again ?
  
  if the 1st option is denied (as in going down to the school offering the course i wanted to take), can i go down to other polytechnics ?
  
  If there is no available choices and i die die gotta take up a private diploma, what are the few private institutions that are more recgonized by local companies or mnc ?
  
  one last qns, if my friend has a nitec certificate in precision engineering, can he take up a private diploma in other fields (for eg. business) except engineering ?
  
  time is running out and he has to make several trips to different schools to try his luck.
  
  any form of help will be deeply appreciated man !

  what about RP School of Engineering ?
  
  Is their criteria for students intake lower of those from the other 4 polytechnics ?

  chance r really slim now when ppl choose to go poly instead of jc..

  no.. my friend got a gpa of 3.0 in ite also cannot get in..

  it seriously depends on how you appeal. if you appeal no matter how many times you were rejected. they might accept you. because you were persistent. you showed interest. you want to learn. etc etc. it depends one la.

  its also whether the person in charge is fcuk up or not.. but sadly, mostly r fcuk up..

  My friend applied for MDIS after unsuccessful DAE. I am not sure about the application period.

  1st-DAE had already close as in the date line and most of the vacancy of all courses had already taken up thru JAE students.. so no point going down school personally to appeal
  2nd-if 1st choice is denied you can try other poly but as i say, now there is no more vacancy in all poly's courses.. Now poly courses are very compatitve..
  3rd-yes, he can do privte dip in another course like business but he need to study from the very start and it's quite waste of $ if he do so as he waste 2yr in ITE and $$$ spent in ITE.. But with many cert, in future can act as backup..
  4th- Now if he want try he can write in to NYP to re-appeal for the course he interested, but might not be able to get it in april but mayb if your friend lucky he can start school in May.. He can try.. Rp, is not having any re-appealing cases liao... As well as TP.. as for SP and NP, i'm not sure... But with the write in ask your friend to send in with all particulars and results...
