You need to know which face is which colour first ma... Then once you know the technique, it actually becomes pretty monotonous.

The puzzle is more than 30 years old.
Last time it was sold, it came with instructions on how to solve it.
Know the key corner colour.
Memorise the sequence of twisting and you can solve it blindfolded. -
Haha finally i'm able to solve those Rubik's under 3minutes
not really impressive since i'm using those very basic layer method; any speed cuber around that can teach me more?

those super fast fellas memorise the steps and all the permutations of what the puzzle looks like...
was on tv once.. the fastest was just a few seconds.. something like 13 sec or something...

to start off, u can go learn those layer by layer solving method.
very simple to understand, i learnt them in 1day last time;
will be able to solve d cube in around 5-7mnts time.
if u practice enough using this method will help cut down to ard 1.5-2mnt+ perhaps
got this 'Fridrich mtd' which most speed cuber use, n d result as u know after long hour practise under 50seconds -

i saw it at action city. but it's not the original rubik's cube one. it has some nightmare before christmas prints on it. it's 5.90 or 6.90 i think.

so far my best time for:
3x3 = 1.35sec
4x4 = 11.7sec
i know i'm far off from those record which is under 20sec
but hey, i'm still practising
what we mean with original not original it's only for 3x3
d original one by either Rubik's or eastSheen ( in Sg so far i only find Rubik's version); the cube they produced have much better quality in terms of:
twisting, turning, speedcubing, durability etc.
as for 4x4 and 5x5 i think only produced by these 2 producer.
I got one $6 'no brand' made in china one, it's quite difficult to turn
