  i used to have problems doing so...
  but as i grow older..
  and through lots of practices..
  i no longer find it uncomfortable making eye contacts liao.^^

  actually its a matter of self confidence...
  usually if u dun dare make eye contact...ur most likely to be not confident about ur image or other things

  when i was in lower secondary, i never bothered to make eye contact while talking. i will just stare into a space beside the person and talk.
  
  then later on, i mysteriously started making proper eye contacts.

  i used to not look at the person but it came to me naturally when i got older. it's like a sense of affirmation when you're talking to that person or listening to him. and respect too i guess. it's not very nice if you fiddle with your fingernails or hair or look at the thing behind that person when you talk right..

  When I talk to people always make eye contact, I dun wanna appear rude. But sometimes I dun look at guys when I talk to them but I always make eye contact with gals when I talk to them.

  normally i'll only look at the eyes for awhile(esp guys), after tat i will look at the lips follow by scanning the whole face.
