It was announced a few weeks ago on http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/264240/1/.html that by 2011, NEWater will meet 30% of SÂ’poreÂ’s water-needs.
By 2011, I can proudly look at my glass of water and proclaim, like nowhere else in the world, that “One-thrid of this sparkling water used to be someone’s piss&s hit”.
Mmmmmm….yum….. Only in S’pore can you say “Whenever I have a piss & shit, I feel so patriotic!“
Perhaps out new national day song could be like this (sung to the tune of 'count on me singapore':
this is my toilet
this is my flush
this is my urine
this is my spit
this is my poo-poo
this is my sewage
we are re-cy-cling
