Anybody been to St John's Island

and any other southern island in Singapore, such as Pulau Hantu, Sister's Island, Lazarus Island... just wondering what you can do there? I heard there are coral reefs and stuff..

by the way i heard it is haunted, even wiki says so lol
"The island, reputedly haunted according to some local traditions"
but i rarely hear ppl going to st john island. tho im really interested to know what is there.
"A former penal settlement, this large hilly island has been transformed into the perfect locale for a weekend get-away, with swimming lagoons, beaches, picnic grounds, trekking routes and soccer fields."

There is also a malay guard who lives permanently on the island. -
cool.. perhaps if im not lazy i check it out on one of the long weekends day next week.

i think got turtles there to see if i remember correctly

i went st john island for quite a number of times for my church camp. nice place.
but got 1 part, is where a tree looks like is bowing to something. then the light shine on it. -

whole island not much ppl
very deserted place
you are right behind the la.... island is very nice
should have corals inside
that place is best for dating lor
very romantic
no one will come and disturb -
windy place. good for fishing (didnt see anyone got any fish though), but the place is too crowded with people and ism quite dirty with litter and such
maybe suitable for day tripperd and picniking
i would prefer Kusu Island though

btw, are you serious about the place is too crowded? hehe coz seriously i actually quite worried that there's not even one soul is there. or perhaps that is just me being naive -
Yeah i've been to st john's island. You'll be able to swim with long lizards, chase chickens around, go fishing etc.. And right at the top of the hill is some sort of accomodation area for large groups which can be booked. It's very secure, surrounded by tall fences. It was orginally built to house the potential influx of illegal immigrants from indonesia during the financial crisis but that didn't materialise. Or you can book those small chalets near the jetty. And yea it's run by sentosa.

St John island is haunted i believe because many years ago i join a christain organization to go there for 3 day camp . I think is 1995 , while playing hide n seek ard the building near the chalets , one of our guys for no apparent reason went up the roof and walk ard there keep looking at the ground below it as if intending to jump down . Despite our attepts to ask him to come down ( the safe way ) he just keep on walking to all the four corners and gazing on the ground below it . After abt 15 mins then i dunno whether they get him to come down or he manage to come down himself and they keep quiet abt the whole thing never to play any games in that area or to go near it .
By the way hor , the place where got tortise one is kusu not st john . -
