  I was amazed how such boring language and plot can make ppl not putting the book down. I think its the way the writer writes and his perspectives. Like the latter more.
  
  Dunno how to describe my takeaways, but it makes me comfortable.
  
  The new book i am waiting for the paperback.

  his books have similar meanings...
  
  every book is about someone who is not very happy with life and later learns that he should treasure what he has and learn to love.
  
  but all 3 of mitch albom's books are interesting.

  i read the 5 ppl u meet in heaven. this is by far the best book i have read, considering i read less than 5 books.

  Mitch Albom is my favourite since years ago.
  
  I like Tuesdays with Morrie over 5 people you meet in heaven.
  
  Tuesdays with Morrie, in my opinion is far superior to 5 people you meet in heaven, although both are good.
  
  Tuesdays with Morrie sets you thinking about almost everything, whereas 5 people you meet in heaven focuses too much on getting the readers engaged in the story-line that sometimes, the meaning of the lessons in there gets distorted.
  
  I am still waiting for the soft cover of For One More Day, the hard cover is too ex. Read from reviews that it is better then Tuesdays with Morrie.
  
  I got a few authors to intro too..
  
  Milan Kundera, James joyce and some old school ones like Victor Hugo, Agatha Christie etc...
  
  Reading is good, helps me a great deal esp when i am schooling in RP.

  Love all 3 books.
  Respect for Morrie.
  His new book,For one more day,very touching.
  Tuesdays with Morrie would have a sligh edge over The 5 people u meet in heaven.For it elaborates more on the problems we are facing everyday.
  Like for every tuesday,they talk abt different issues.Like regrets,life and death,love.
  I shed a tear when i read about how Morrie died,when everyone was not in the room.
  Real real brave man.

  i almost bought the book "Five Jerks You Meet On Earth"
  
  i find those books funnier.. sort of like the book Chicken Shit For The Soul was much better than the crappy Chicken Soup series which were just out to screw people for money after the initial success

  When I read self-help/motivation/success books, I always ask "How?"
  
  tue wif morrie teaches you to question many things in life, what is true to you? what is important to you? is doing what you do to chase what you want really what you want? be forgiving, etc etc.
  
  I always ask "How?"
  
  How do you forgive somebody? To put it in an engineering way, what must happen before it is forgiven?
  
  What is your purpose in life? HOW do you find it? HOW do you know this is the true purpose/the most fulfilling for you?
  
  What is important to you. HOW to find what is important to you? At my life stage, money is important, so is career. Family will take a backseat now. My friends and I consider myself a rather realistic but amibitious person. But HOW do I know what is truely important?
  
  Do one really have to loss something, a love one, an entire career, a healthy body, etc before one will know what is important to him/her?
