have u try pressing the reset button ..
my sis zen micro hang .. cant do anything with it .. after reading the manual i found out that a reset button at the side .. use a needle to poke it .. it might work -
get an ipod nano 2gb instead

I encountered the same problem as u.. end up i bought a new one to replace e old one.. as e previous one has sentimental value.. rather buy a new than repair it.. quite bo hua leh..

Yesterday I accidentally dropped it and now it cannot be on. So I went home to check if the warrenty is still valid. But sad to say it's already more then a year old.
Thus thinking I will have to pay for the service, I brought it to the one at Marina Square and asked how much will it cost to fix the player.
The person there quoted me $299, and told me that thats the price irregardless of that the problem is! I asked her how come so expensive, she only said thats the price which they fix.
Omg! You guys think I should still make a trip down to Jurong and ask them about it again? Would you guys pay for that $299 or rather buy a new one?

regarding the $299 claim, threaten them back with CASE.. and scold them for being unreasonable..

For $299, you can get a pretty good and new set.

Went to the Jurong one today.
They said the consultation thing is $40 (meaning just to send it in and let them check the problem), and if it's the hardware problem it'll cost $299+$40.
However, if its just the firmware, then they'll only charge the $40.
I rejected it though. Probably gonna buy a new set. -
lol GG i have a creative zen nano 1 i buy $220 abt 2 years le now go problem leh idk if its my mp3 got prob or the ear piece i buy new ear piece put in then after a few days will spoil i went to the shop to change then the new 1 also spoil..... weird?

for $299 u can get the new 8gb creative zen vplus.i think it is worth it coz it is flash based so u don't need to worry about dropping it again.i love my creative zen vplus.
