look at singapore artists or others .many ppl try to go into world market .but all fail .
why ? cos china is a big nd important country .and singapore ?? who cares such a small country and ppl here .

Don't be stupid. Zhang Ziyi made it due to CTHD, which is a refreshing revelation to the western audience. Not to mention her performance was not so bad at all.
And Gong Li made it via 'Memoirs of Geisha', a very debatable movie but she won the attention of the western audiences with her superior acting skills.
It's got nothing to do with the size of the countries involved.
It also have to do with luck, of course.
Don't be jealous of the Mainland Chinese. You can try to become the first to break the inter market if you want to. -
