  14/(14+orange) = 0.7
  
  14=9.8+0.7orange
  orange = 6oranges
  
  oranges required to removed=23-6=17

  i've got an interesting one. think i'd posted before. anyway...
  
  mike, pete and lance spent a night together in a hotel room. The bill was $30, hence each paid $10. They left.
  
  Hotel owner discovered they had overpaid, the bill is supposely only $25. Being a honest man he sent his steward after the 3 men to refund them $5.
  
  The steward now faced a problem, how is he going to divide $5 equally by 3 people? He decided to pocket $2 and refund $3 back to the three men.
  
  Hence mike, pete and lance each effectively paid $9, total $27 to the hotel. The steward had pocketed $2. Hence total of $29.
  
  BUT initially there is $30 to start with.
  
  So where did the $1 go??

  2 dollars pocketed.
  
  It all started when this people doesnt know how to count and ended up with $29

  somemore its 28 leh, not 29.
