Let me give you the insider's information of how more than 20 police men and security guards treated ordinary citizens worse than they had treated Chee. That's right, worse! In Chee's case, the police knew that it was under the watchful eyes of foreign journalists and their cameras. So they tried as hard as they could to appear civilised. I nearly cried when I read this... how the family must have felt when the hospital forcefully removed the deceased's organs when the family objected. The police did nothing to console them, instead shouted orders at them like they were servants. They even had 10 male police to handle one girl.
The blogger wrote a letter to ST regarding this, but it was not published.
