After reading Straits Time front page.... global warming and hence billions may go w/o water...
It used to be the countries wif crude oil are rich...
now water is in demand too...
Could sg becomes the most powerful nation wif NEW water if indeed wat the scientists predict is true?
if so... hyflux must accumulate now le

NEWater comes from rain water...if no water, means no water can evaporate and form water vapour/clouds. No clouds means no rain, no rain means no NEWater!
Unless its a sea water desalination plant. Then maybe enough water le. -

any other country can also develop reclaimed (Newater) water freely. Developing Newater is not proprietary to Singapore. Where I currently work now, NEwater is too pure for the system and has to be mixed with PUB water.

Water that have been used ie. from sewer, drains, factories are filtered and purified. In Newaters' case, it is over purified. Some of the Newater is supplied to the electronic or wafer industries, and some pumped into reservoirs to naturalise them or mixed with JB water. Our Newater is over purified compared to other water purification processes that uses recycled water.
Yokels never fail to over play the toilet water routine.
Malaysia make jokes of our Newater, but they are not laughing when brown water comes out of their taps. -
newater tastes too bland le so i dun like. too cleaned.
