dilemma

  i am currently jobless now.. but recently there are 2 job offers for me.. but i don noe which to choose.
  
  1st job : 1-yr contract position in a big listed company, 5 days work, pay is what i desired, location wise is near my house, job scope is totally diff from what i did in the past.
  
  2nd job : perm position in a reputable travel agency in singapore.. (which is what i study during poly) 5 1/2 days work week, pay is the same as what the 1st job offer me, location wise is slightly further from the first, job scope is almost the same as what i did in the past but added some human resource work in it.
  
  i have already signed the contract for the 2nd job and was going to start work nx week. but then the employer from the first job called up and say that i got the job..the gd thing is i can breach the contract that i sign since i haven start work yet... now i am really confused.. i don noe which one to choose..

  If you're a girl You should choose 1.... Simply you'll likely be married off into becoming some housewife... sorry to say this but that's likely to be true in SG.
  
  ANyway if you're a guy... theres more to see.. Important thing is prospect and looking at it in a far perspective.

  confuse what? ask yourself which job you like la...u must like the job it is most important.
  
  Anyway it is true that you haven't start work with 2nd job, so u can break the contract. but the most important is which job you like since both salary are the same.

  i tok of choosing the first job but the only bad thing is the contract position.. which means at most i am needed for only one year and after that if my contract isn't been renewal, i will be asked to go.. seriously, i hate to find jobs.. so once i find a job, i will tend to stay there for like 2 yrs and above.. another thing is that i don tik contract staff are entitled to bonuses as well..
  
  for the second one, the industry and work is what i am familar with.. however, it a 5 1/2 days work. a bit sian to work on sat. i guess since i am a perm staff, i should have entitled to bonuses ..
  
  and the thing u say bout married off to becoming some housewife. i don tik it really happening in singapore. a lof of married women still work til they retired.. unless they married to a millionaire..

  seriously, i nv like my job so far... to me i work for the sake of working and to survive.. how many out here actually love their job? i am confused here becos of the propspects that both companies give and the working hours.. one is a big company but like no propspects but it a 5 days week.. another one is a local company but as it a perm job therfore there are room for advancement.. only the working hours and their rules and regulations sux..
