Does one have to be 21 to have a cheque book a/c? Just curious.
You'll need to be at least 21 years old to open a current account or apply for credit line (some come with cheque books e.g. CashPlus from UOB).
Go to POSB and open a Current Account. This account comes with a cheque book. You may need to put in an initial amount, I am not sure of this or how much. You need to have funds in the CA to issue cheques.
Since you also have a Savings Account, you can ask for the CA to be linked to the SA. This way you do not need to deposit funds into your CA. Funds will be automatically transfered from your SA to your CA.
