Why do people collect doraemon magnets?

Saw so many threads on doraemom magnets...
Do you REALLY need the magnets? collect all 35 of them?
What are you going to go after you have collected them?
Do you buy unneccesary things just to get the magnets?
I mean this is really a sale/promotion gimmick by 7-11 mangement and it seems that so many people are going for it.

this is like askin why ple collect car models or action figures....
becuz some people like doraemon.. so anything related to doraemon they collect....
some people think it's a waste of money, some dont and think it's worth spendin on it.. diff ple diff thinkin
i've collection fetish too.. but i dont collect doraemon magnet i like antiques paintings furnitures that kind of things.... -

Tried collecting stamps but failed. Collected postcards.
Collected bits and pieces of stuff from overseas trip. -

it actually bring out memories for those who love xiao ding dang. i dun mind owning all of them but i seldom went to 7-eleven to buy item more than 5 dollars. -
