  I've read that some Greek families have difficulty accepting outsiders into the family. Outsiders as in NON-GREEK. You will be considered as non-greek even if you are 3/4 Greek...
  
  Anyone who's going out with a Greek guy should be careful about this... because you will be octracised by the entire family and there's a chance that the guy won't be particularly siding you.
