why rubber bands come in red and yellow colors?

mostly is red color, sometimes yellow.
i wonder why? why don;t have other colors? -

? uh you're really interesting to question that. it was probably started out like that and it continued being red. there're other colours too. red and yellow are significant i suppose?

the other colours surfaced because there was once the factory ran out of red dye and needed an immediate solution. For yellow, they added banana skin to it. And green? They probably added ground grass juice to it....

green rubber bands are usually used by malays (in their food stalls etc) , and red by Chinese

Natural rubber is milky in colour.
During extraction, it may be mixed with resin, sugar, protein and some minerals, giving it its colour...
Other funny colours are synthetic... -
