mmm but i probably can't do well in office-politics cos i don't know how to 1) bootlick 2)grab boss's attention 3) fend off back-stabbers.

Uhh... usually those things you will learn from experience wan. 1) Never attempt to outshine your boss in any way.
2) Do your best at your work.
3) Be humble and nice, no matter how many billions you just made for the company. It gives you more points with your boss and colleagues. -
