handwriting wise, maybe you can make your child to practise writing every single alphabet on those specially-lined exercise books. after you are satisfied with the writing, get her to write out words on foolscrap paper. if still not nice, make her re-write til you are satisfied.

guess you don't even have a year to start off with and PSLE is just months away. my suggestion is to get a private tutor for whichever subject your daughter's weak in. had mine in pri sch which costs me $150 for Eng, Maths and Science. 8 lessons per month, 2 hours each.
well back then i wasn't being thought much on english. but my tutor would buy a MCQ-based grammer and some comprehension assessment books and get me to do on it. "Preston" was her prefered choice in the past. now i don't know. well if i remembered correctly, my tutor didn't get me to do any compos
maybe because its time consuming to read and correct the errors and all.
IMHO i feel good whenever my tutor praises me for the minor improvements i made. guess you should do the same for your daughter too. good luck

any tips on where or who to get to teach her eng and mths. i am not sure which school or who is good. any centre any tips pls. and my kid is always sitting in front of tv the whole day, 1 show after another, when i ask her to study she say later until last show at 10pm. then she sleep, saying too tired, very stress. i got no control.

and
try this method..
tell her that the amt of tv she can have is 2x her study time..
eg. 30min of study = 1 hr of tv time
and study with her.. u dont ask her to study while u go watch tv -
Every easy.. Give her two books to read.
Science and Literature.
If she finds joy in reading Science book, then she is the science type..
If she finds joy in reading Literature book, then she is the Literature type.. -
Think the most important is to start off having an interest in reading rather than forcing her to read...

you let her dictate what she wants to do. I'd limit the time on the telly, to say, one hour a day.
if you are unwilling to put your foot down as to how she should learn, then all the tuition centers will be pointless.
my own two boys are normally without adult supervision each afternoon and they'd still get their homework, and assessment paper done, and will only watch TV at about 5 pm, and only for half an hour. after dinner it's back to some more revision (with the exception of one or two programmes that they'd choose to watch).
if the telly is ON because of YOU, you should also sacrifice your TV time too. -
Spare the rod and spoil the child!
The good of your child is in your hands and you're not gonna do it?! YOU should be the one going for tuition, not the kid.............!
