a apologise to all muslim if i offend anyone..juz that we all juz wan to offer prayers and kena such fine.. will u be happy if they start to fine all the cars that park outside the mosque while u go for your prayers.

fyi, when its muslim friday prayers, the mosque has already booked with ura so that we could park freely. and its not cheap ok.. some of the donations given to the mosques are for the parking lots.
look at clementi for eg. and fyi too, we have only a certain radius that we could park legally. and as for normal day prayers, we do park at proper carparks. whether to tear out coupon or not, up to individual.
btw i do drive. -

did i say that the cars parked in double yellows are legal? when i said that we could park our vehicles is that we can only park within the carpark radius and not outside. any clown could understand that parking in double yellows mean trouble and attract unwanted attention.
btw like what you said, your rash attitude towards the CSO made him so not want to entertain you.
anyway, they don't entertain religion excuses for parking thingys. nothing is free in sg. like what i said, the mosques paid for some of the lots for the convenience of prayers on that day itself. i believe other religions do that too.. like the temple in sin ming, i believe they paid for the permit to let vehicles parked at double yellows on up to certain extent.
i'm sorry if i sound defensive but i just want to make a point here. i'm sure most drivers dere in sg have been fined before one way or another and parking offences is always part of it. true even if its for 5mins but for 50 cents you could park for 30 mins. sure premas or cisco still can tolerate if its abt 10 mins over the time... -

to TS, i was fined once b4 and i learnt my lesson. what sand king said its true. you switched the hazard lights doesnt mean the guy knows that you are parking for a short while..
no point complaining. even when i delivering goods, i do park at loading bays at hdb and do switched hazard lights but usually i do for 5mins. more than that, i go to carpark or MSCP. put coupon better. can deliver safely and no need to rush. -

i'm new to sgforums.com. But i would like to share a thought or two with everyone. the parking lot which is behind the kuanyin temple at waterloo st is free on weekend. But on any other day you need to put a coupon to be safe. well, that area is frequent with carpark warden. So just be more carefull next time. But most of the time, churches and mosques will apply to URA or TP for parking space which is outside the church/mosque or near the residential area. Like for example, I was delivering cake to one of the church in bedok, if i'm not mistaken, the address is 82 bedok road. I notice on the church noticeboard, an application for parking space outside the church to TP. The approval from Tp was also pasted. The church/mosque will indicate the distance from which lamp post till which lamp post. The tp will decide whether to approve . Things to consider would be the safety of the people on the road and make sure there is no complain. The church or mosque people have taken this initiave to apply for the carpark as they know that they will be many people coming to church on sunday and mosque on friday. By the way, the approval will usually take about 2 weeks. -
