Can the small handphone shops (looks like one shop splited into two) charge us GST?
I don't think they are having annual turnover of S$1 million.
I got charged GST leh, last year when I bought a phone there. At that time I was ignorant about this because I was a school leaver after O's

i always go telco to buy fones
and go ah beng hp shop to sell fones and buy no-contract fones.......in nett price....... -

Ask them show you their gst registration cert.

I went to some sort of in between ah beng shop and the big hp operator shop kind.
I got charged alot of GST, and now thinking back they eat my money!
And I dumped the phone very soon because I realised it sucks to the max (damn laggy) and nobody willing to take in a BenQ mobile. He convinced me to buy that model because I had no particular phone to buy and I was asking him to recommend.
I then later bought a K800i (256mb) and it got stolen while I fell aslp after receiving a call, was really tired. And the heartbreaking part was that I am 2 bus stops away from home. -

Big retail stores of cos charge GST, but I'm talking about the neighbourhood handphone shop.
