Downtown East is currently undergoing a rejuvenation of the whole area in progressive stages...
Currently, there's four storey building in construction going on at the junction of Pasir Ris Close and Pasir Ris Drive 6 which is known as e!Hub...
In e!Hub, it will have at the basement a 36-lanes bowling alley and supermarket... On the ground floor, it will have eatries, restaurants and essential shops... On the second floor, there will be a proposed indoor playarea with toy shop and bookstore... On the third floor, you will find the much anticipated Cathay Cineplex with six-halls... On a mezzanine layer between the roof and the third floor, there's a planned bigger spaced Zone-X...
There will also be an indoor three-storey tall ferris wheel facing Pasir Ris Close, with the loading and unloading platform on the ground floor...
It will be touted as a 24 hours entertainment hub for the public members, with a concept of 'free access' to majority of the facilities built within...
For the residents and union members staying in the west and north area of Singapore, there are also talks and discussions that are ongoing, to create another Downtown West and Downtown North...
