Tell your friends that although they feel that you are part of the elite group who shouldnt go out with that BSS guy, you don't feel elite (or any less elite if you indeed do feel you are an elite) if you date him.
They cant sue you either.

It's not that I dont accept ppl from other schools ... it's just that some of my friends from other schools dont like the way I speak or explain things, arguing that I'm being too cheem or whatever. like, I purposely want to mai4 non4 zhi1 shi4 or smt. so I'm worried that if I go out with someone from a neighbourhood sch, it'll become a problem. also, parents wont be too happy. and yeah, the whole value and understanding thing. there are all these stereotypes about different schools, so peoples brains can get pretty messed up ... =\ -
Honestly forget about all the shallow labelling (branded sch vs normal sch). The only reason why people would make such a big deal out of it is coz their whole life revolves around school and nothing more. It's sad.. so look beyond that. There's so much more than that.

You'll have to see whether he minds having a more intelligent girlfriend. some guys cant stand being inferior to their girlfriends.
