marine parade or bukit timah?

can anyone tell me about marine parade or bukit timah? what are they like? what type of entertainment do they have? which is closer to orchard road? in terms of transport, which is more convenient? yadayadayada. thankks!

Katong has lots of great food, so does Bukit Timah.
Bukit Timah is up from Dunearn Road, if you travel from Scotts Road. Marine Parade is off the ECP. Try looking up the streetdirectory.com website.
Even the nightlife is similar. What are you looking for? There's a new Aussie restaurant called Blooie's Roadhouse at Rail Mall though.
I know Katong has nice Peranakan and Indian food. -

stay woodlands la!!
we got poly..library.. shopping centre.. jc.. private sch.. lots of places of worships... not to forget 24hr makan2...
then if boring.. just spend 5mins drive to jb.. -
Bukit Timah have alot of rich brats and chio bu..
It super near to orchard...
But it is super expensive to stay there..
This place have alot of good food available.
But it very inconveient for not owning a car...
As for Marina parade.
It not very near to town..
ECP is alway jam.
Stay here if you love the sea..(very near to east coast park)
Alot of bus available to town.. (eg 197, 36 ,16 etc)
A lot of good food around the clockwise
There have my famous laska..
So i have not choice but to remain in katong... -

bukit timah flood har.... die liao die liao la.... if global warming then sea lvl rise mati no wher to run to... even the high high places like bukit timah floods....

mmmm, I dunno, my aunt (on my dad's side) has this really nice place in marine parade. but I have the choice to stay in bukit timah if I want. I guess I'd enjoy the freedom I'd have if I stay in bukit timah ... but I like the food in marine parade .. =D

i dunno abt bukit timah but i noe marine parade gt parkway parade. oso gt roxy square but the place like abit dead ah. i oni noe the area cos my school is near and always chiong there or katong to play LAN.
