This you must depends on the book every books cost different..Best is call the national library that you lost the book and tell them which book you lost..

haha..no la..the novel has 2 volumes, i lost the 1st volume..haha..and i call up the lib liao..they say have to pay for the novel.

ard 22 bucks..have to pay the exact amt of the novel, 5%(soon to be 7%) GST...all thanks to the Sing Gov, and 7.50 for the administration fees..

Think National Library has a cap on maximum fine... My brother-in-law borrowed a book in 1995 from Queenstown Library, forgot to return and forgot where the book is till recently when he brought his daughters to borrow books...
Guess what? He paid $25 for the super-long overdued book, plus loss of the book... -
