I am sure many have heard of this age old saying. Those who have the ability to do, will be making helluva lot of money doing what they do best, while those who can't perform will "resort" to teach.
This phase has been used to describe the teaching profession, including teachers, professors and lecturer.
What do you think? Have you met a teacher/lecturer/professor whom you know will literally die once he steps out academia? Have you met a teacher/lecturer/professor who possesses such passion in teaching that you actually remembers him for his guidance for life? -

Actually, I've been lucky enough to have had great teachers over my years in school (I'm still in JC). Most of them are good. And then some... -
my understanding on this saying is not about those school teachers, i feel that it's referring to those with specific skills.
Like a basketball/soccer/watever sports player getting old, they cant "do" anymore, so they have no choice but to be a coach and "teach". -
