Let me deduct a plan for this.
1) Set up high voltage fences with barbwires on the top. at least 3m tall around the urbanise colony.
2) train snipers. to be in-charge of each open area situated just behind the fences.
3) all vehicle must be very heavy. at least 1ton. to be able to move through the packs of zombies. (huge amount of zombies can topple a light weight vehicle easily)
4) contamination area for resident or people to go through first if they need to travel from one point to the other throught zombie infested area.
5) simple speech, tests will be conducted in the contamination area sealed safely.
6) all citizens are not permited to enter restricted area such as zombie infested area or military area, unless on official duty.
7) air transport will be the safest way to move around.
Heavily contaminated area will be strictly be evacuated for nuclear warfare. -
I think it's interesting to wake up one day and the whole place is devoid of human beings. Just imagine the whole of orchard road, marina bay, cbd all no people and in a mess. Like post-apocalyptic. Nice.

Simple methods using simple household items... to survive in a HDB..
--> trap the lift at the top storey using furnitures.
--> Use furnitures to clog staircase landings, stuff the furniture with lots of flammable materials.
---> Pour cooking oil/kerosene/petrol at the staircase on every storey. Every resident contribute some. Make it slippery and hard to climb.. When the fuel dries up, it will become flammable, can burn zombies while they are climbing.
---> Tie your sharpest and hardest knife to the end of the bamboo pole to make a spear.. Short weapons are too dangerous. Aim for the head spartan style when needed..
---> If u see a zombie loitering below ur block, kill them killer litter style..
