how the 2nd last taxi leave the taxi stand?
Maybe I am wrong, but I thought all taxis must have wheels.

so you mean you don't mind if people snatched your promotion in a company?
Its their livelihood, they are serious about it. All of them are fellow drivers, why not be equal to each other?
Promotion, like reputation, is earned. How to snatch???
Everybody has to work hard and smart for his livelihood. If they are serious, show me good service before I part with my money.

laogenjudi - what the cab did is right !Originally posted by laogenjudi:I was walking towards the taxi stand outside Capitol Centre, North Bridge road. To hail a taxi of course. I saw at least 10 taxis, from various companies, waiting in line. As I approached from the back of the line, I decided to hop into a Premier Taxi which was second from last. The taxi driver turned around and said I should go and take the first taxi in line. I said no because I did not want to walk more and besides I prefer Premier Taxi than other taxis. He insisted that I MUST take the first taxi and refused to move.
Angrily, I got out, crossed the road and took the MRT.
Why taxi driver can choose passenger but passenger cannot choose taxi?
I simply do not like certain taxi companies, why can't I patronise the one that I like?
I am paying more to take a taxi because I do not want to walk more. Why can't I hop on to the taxi nearest to me?
Finally, what is the penalty or punishment for the driver if he decided to accept me? Will he be fined by LTA or get whacked by his hungry colleagues?
Comments please.

Example:
In a shopping mall, there are ten outlets selling fashion wear... You are the owner of the first outlet in the line, selling korean fashion, others follow suite...
As a result, bad business and loss of sales accurred cos everyone followed you... You are first in line but now your earnings are divided to nine other outlets that followed suite...
How do you feel?
I will feel damn bad. I will feel like commiting suicide perhaps. After the hard feelings, I will ask myself WHY PEOPLE don't come to my shop.
Since I have no patent rights over the "korean fashion", what else can I do? Can I complain? Can I sue? Can I whack the other outlet owners?? Nobody owes anybody a living. First come first served is meant for the consumers. There is no such thing as first come first earned.
You mean the example me quoted or the reply threadstarter gave is crap?Originally posted by storywolf:This example is crap !!! so stop using it to jusfty you bad behaviour !!!
For taxi queue - there is a first come first serve !!! you break the rules and got told off !!! accept it and stop being a spoil self-center idot !!! Shame on you ...
even a taxi driver have better ethics and moral than you .... !!!
You not local issit? Any taxi queue in Singapore, you need to go the first in line to get on. No taxi driver in his right mind will take you if you just randomly hope onto those behind the first cab.Originally posted by laogenjudi:I was walking towards the taxi stand outside Capitol Centre, North Bridge road.
