I intend to do a bit of traveling after my exam.. around mid of June.
Anyone interested to go to Ho Chi Minh?
Jetstar is selling cheap ticket tomorrow at 10 to 10.. Should be below $250 for everything.

If you're in HCMC, just stay for the most 3 days.
Try walking Dong Khoi Street - a very rustic and charming street with French, Chinese and Italian restaurants.
Go Binh Tanh Market - lots of cheap bargains.
Try walking in the shopping malls around Dong Khoi.
Try walking around Pham Ngu Lao Street - it's a backpacker's haven there.
Must go to Cu Chi tunnels - Vietnam War guerrilla tunnels
Try sailing Mekong River and see the life there. Then you will be brought to an island to have a lazy lunch and rest.
If you're more adventurous, you can even go further up north to Hanoi, where it's colder.
Vietnam is so fun! -
Ben Thanh Market is a tourist market now, i wouldn;t advise you to go there to find cheap bargains because you will still get ripped off anyway, even if you dun buy it, the store keepers still have lots of korean and japanese tourist who will buy, i suggest an alternative An Dong market in Chinatown area, less glamorous, but still its way more cheaper than Ben Thanh market in the central city.Originally posted by Rock^Star:If you're in HCMC, just stay for the most 3 days.

if its only 4 days duration in Vietnam, just stick to HCM-Cuchi-Mytho tour, you won;t have timeto go to Hanoi at all, oh yea.. ignore what other threadsters here who think gals are cheap in vietnam..if anything else, its way more expensive
if you are looking for some nightspots, i can recommend you one or two -
must visit the beer orm....
and remember, do not use ur mobile phone while walking near the road side... and never ever take the trishaw.... -
Well, Ben Thanh is still a good walk and its architecture is so French colonial style. I got a good imitation NIKE t-shirt for US$8.
