Gatsby Moving Rubber

I don't really like sebastian, hard to wash off. I used it back then and felt I was just paying for the brand... it's like 50+
Missqi, try paul mitchell or some of the jap brands used in It's Hairy saloon @ far east.. you will like them -
eh? if wind blows and it moves, then after a while, it will be out of shape (or all go down) liao....
since the brochure says that the hair waxed with moving rubber can be re-styled even after many hours, then it means the overall-look of the hair is somewhat soft is it? thanks all. -

actually, the gatsby wax(not the new moving rubber kind shown here) are all super-tough to wash off. must out tons of shampoo and lots of hard scrubbing before the hair can become normal. the feeling also very tacky, so i'm considering to switch to moving rubber if it's ok.
anyway, what kind of spiky hair you want? out-of-bed hairstyle is it?
just use any gatsby wax, put a lot(be daring) and after that, spray the hairspray lah.
sure can spike one. gatsby got one hairspray is called "Hard set", will make the spikes stay, no problem.
for maximum spikiness, try their ultra-hard clay (black one).

yeah lah.....it's a way of making more money, but then, hair spray has always been water-based, so cannot during the packaging process, obviously cannot mix with the clay mah....not just gatsby, but all hairsprays need to be used on clay/wax/gel.
anyway, when you style your hair, make sure it's very dry and not too much water in it, otherwise, the clay will get very diluted. -

rubbish lah.....dandruff is caused by the genes in the hair. i always put lots of wax on my dry hair the whole day still no problem.
when you use the hairdryer to dry your hair, use your other hand to ruffle all your hair up. this way, when you spike the hair, they'll "stand up" a lot more. -
do u guys tink if i juz put like double amount of the clay i use so can realli hard or its not worth the time coz still in 30 min will go down?

yea it is soft. If you want hard, definitely go for clay or gel. NO WAX, plus, the one that i have, the purple one, is already considered 'string', in fact, it is the second strongest in the moving rubber series. i just tried the mat one.
its definitely better than wax series.
though the texture of the moving rubber was somewhat soft like wax when i applied it -

actually your hair is dead.
the only living part of one's hair is its root.
anything above it is considered dead.
yes can get dandruff and spoil hair if you use drier often.
i do the same but i put the drier at a safe distance say and arms' length away from my hair at least. -

maybe you didn't put enough clay? clay is the most hardcore-hardest of all the hair-styling products. you got try the Gatsby Ultra-Hard Clay anot? it's in an octagon shape, black flat container. only thing is that it's very very hard to wash off. for every one time you apply, you need 3 shower sessions to really make the hair go back to natural again.

also, what hairstyle you've? if too long, obviously even the best clay in the world cannot help you achieve your desired style. must be short and thin-layered; ask the barber/salon auntie to cut thinner for you (cutting the hair thinner is not the same as cutting shorter).
purpose of cutting the hair thinner is to reduce the density of the hair so that it's easier for clay to hold the stuff up.

and if your is those korean japan style, much more harder to do without
alot of wax, spray etc. -

i experimented with the red moving rubber today.
in terms of re-styling, it's very good, because after you style already, later still can re-style no problem, because the rubber doesn't become hard and set-in-stone, so it's good in that sense.
in terms of holding power, i'm not too sure, haven't tried getting the hair blown by huge winds and stress-testing yet (such as doing 30 star-jumps and making sure the hair-shape is still in place).
say, anyone knows of any websites where i can find lots and lots of pictures of japanese/korean/cool-looking hairstyles?
i'm thinking of changing new hairstyle and want to do some research first.
my current hairstyle is the armani type (1998's), whereby the front part you comb up and the top part you comb down. quite outdated, i know.
