Did you play with insects when you were young?

  I loved it when there were ant colonies in my corridor garden.I would feed it small pieces of meat.And then the whole family would come out to savour the delicacy...I knew the big head ants were the soldiers,the long abdomen ants were the queens.The small head,small abdomen ones are the female workers.
  
  When the whole family was having a feast,I would catch an earthworm or a grasshopper and then throw it over the ants.You know what happened next.
  
  I was into praying mantises too.I simply love the ultimate predator of the insect world.I remember keeping a mantis.I fed him live grasshoppers.Sometimes when I could not find any hoppers,I fed him raw meat.
  
  Oh my,Mother Nature is such a wonderful thing...and I always looked forward to watching David Attenborough's The Living Planet in 1985.

  in pri school in recess, we'll catch spiders with our bare hands and use them to fight my classmates' spiders in class
  
  and i was so into spiders that i told my grandma to help me catch

  I caught caterpillars... and released them when they turned into butterflies.
  
  But many times they just died in the tank.

  Just wondering have anyone successfully reared a dragonfly nymph before?

  Talk about earthworms... I used to have a garden, the grassy patch kind (now covered by tiles). My mom would do gardening and then pick out the earthworms, dump them into the fishtank and the fishes would swallow them whole ewwww.
