  See ar, my ah gong de ashes/tablet at 1 of the Sin Ming... erm... not temple lah... put dead ppl tablet de place...
  
  Den recently that place renovation.... so my grandmother say my ah gong moving house... den I tot is move new building... since that building bloody old and dirty anyway.
  
  Den I reach there, realized is its just move to the next room nia... and the so called Renovation is they just paint the wall and change the table nia...
  
  Like that need to pay $2500... and the room inside got mani "ppl" staying de... and imagine each of them the family pay $2500...

  This kind...is called usual preparation...no choice i guess? Unless you wanna move to new temple...i think will be more troublesome

  i say they juz wanna take advantage of the situation. family members cannot complain of the high price because of face issue or/and trouble of relocating so they juz pay up.

  Don't pay first.
  Find out how much was the fee for 1 year storage, previously.
  Then determine the amount of increase.
  Figure out if it is justified.
  Is it a one time payment?
  How much would subsequent yearly payment be?
  If the place is too expensive, your ah gong must move house.

  I believe you're being over-charged. But nonetheless, it depends on how willing are you to move to another venue and if your family is superstitious.

  cool sin min is one of the reputable temple from what i know. even they r using this kind of method to earn money ? how disgraceful.
  
  $2500 , i think the most $500 is enough , another $2000 maybe for the monk to buy clothes n handphone bah

  I remembered when my grandfather died, we paid a similar amount too.
  
  Since it's for religious purposes, I don't suppose that they can survive on donations alone, which explains the high prices.
