find a cheaper substitute for bus fares, e.g. concession if ure still schooling.
u can try saving up the $ for a couple of days and get concession. and u'll save the $10 per day travelling. in any case if u're taking mrt and bus everyday, 90+ concession for tertiary students, 40-60+ for government schools. if u manage to do that, u save at least 100-200 in bus fares every month.

exept when i'm really stuck, my mom gives me some.
i find it hard to find time to study.
though i am a quick learner. -

Bills? lets give it minimum of 300 dollars.
groceries? 100 happy?
your mum's transport? 150 happy?
her own food money? 250 bucks as minimum?
Misc? 200 bucks.
