There was once when Singapore waters was invested with swordfishes. Due to their sharp noses many people were killed and fishermen couldnt do their jobs. Even the soldiers he sent to kill the swordfishes were killed.
So the King decided to ask his people for ideas.
Then there was this boy who suggested building a wall made of bamboo to fence up the beach. So when the swordfish jumped up to attack the fishermen, their noses would get stuck and be killed easily.
So this trick worked and the boy became very famous, so famous that the King became jealous of him and ordered an assassin to kill the boy when he was sleeping.
When the boy was knifed the blood flowed freely and into the grounds surrounding his hut. He happened to be living on a hill..
Hence Red Hill..
Sorry if my story is wrong.. Last rmb reading abt it back in pri sch..

If you were a tourist and you tell people you have never been to Sentosa.....it means you have never really visited Singapore>Originally posted by banzie:Tell us more. That is the Dynasty in India I think... not too sure...
But Zheng He did came to Sentosa before. Don't know got come to sg or not but he came to Sentosa before going to the west. So Singapore wasn't really such an unknow world. Probably is already abit of a small trading village and small port. Coz Remember Trade between east and west started then. Hundreds of years ago. Dutch are the first to come Singapore and such. then india already had its presents here. Western, middle eastern and india's ship actually got to past SG since 1600
Yes I remember Cleopatra Wong and that crappy movie called Dynamite Johnson but Tarantino must have seen Cleopatra Jones first.Originally posted by LazerLordz:Did you know that Kill Bill was an inspiration that Quentin Tarantino had from watching a 1970s Singaporean film called Cleopatra Wong?
The Bionic Boy is Johnson Yap and no one could replace Bruce Lee.The closest look alike who got the moves was Bruce Lai from Hong Kong (not his real name) but like I said no one could be as good as Bruce except maybe Jet LiOriginally posted by viciouskitty74:And that double murder at Far East Plaza Carpark. (The Ozzie angmoh & his singapore g/f kill the Singapore chinese chauffer & his china g/f and stuff the body into a car boot and park the car at far east plaze multi storey carpark)
Was discovered when Karate Master Peter Ho noticed the stench from the car.
karate master Peter Ho, acted in several of Singapore production movies. he was actually deem to be a lookalike and possible replacement for Bruce Lee.
And Bionic Boy has a scene filmed at Sembawang Beach.
