i dont think he is a legend.. he a descendrant of Alexandar the great i think..Originally posted by strado:Sang Nila Utama has never seen a lion/tiger before he arrived, thats why he asked the old man what animal is that.
Wait, what link does Stevie Wonder and Sang Nila Utama ? Stevie Wonder is educated and is modern.
Sang Nila Utama is a legend?
That's Sultan Iskandar Shah, one of his ancestors was married to Alexander the Great's daughters.Originally posted by Urroh:i dont think he is a legend.. he a descendrant of Alexandar the great i think..
He meant even a blind man like Stevie Wonder also won't make that kind of mistake. What's more for someone who could see, i.e. Sang Nila Utama.Originally posted by strado:Wait, what link does Stevie Wonder and Sang Nila Utama ? Stevie Wonder is educated and is modern.
Do not confuse Sang Nila Utama with Parameswara (Iskandar Shah)Originally posted by Urroh:i dont think he is a legend.. he a descendrant of Alexandar the great i think..
Even Parameswara might not be Iskandar Shah.Originally posted by Short Ninja:Do not confuse Sang Nila Utama with Parameswara (Iskandar Shah)
Alexander is known by the Malays as Iskandar and some believe he or maybe just his men went all the way down to Malaya.Dont know if Parameswara is truly related but we cant rule that out either. In modern times there are people who would pay to find out more about their ancestors through DNA tests. Many would be really surprisedOriginally posted by LazerLordz:That's Sultan Iskandar Shah, one of his ancestors was married to Alexander the Great's daughters.
How to get DNA of ancestors? Exhume their grave?Originally posted by Short Ninja:In modern times there are people who would pay to find out more about their ancestors through DNA tests. Many would be really surprised

Possible, I know of a few ex-classmates of mine, their race is so complicated that you dont even know how to classify them. And then some of their friends will know that they are actually related to royalties of some cilvilisation last time.Originally posted by Icemoon:How to get DNA of ancestors? Exhume their grave?
I know you can check whether someone is a royalty by matching the DNA against a known royalty who should be a cousin to you.
The Parameswara we are talking about lived from AD 1344 - AD1424 died at the age of 80 and was also the founder of Malacca. The last 10 years of his live he became known as Iskandar shah after marrying a young girl and coverting to Islam. If I could live until that age and get to marry a girl old enough to be my granddaughter,I really dont mind if you call me anything but please dont call me cheekopek ar .Originally posted by Icemoon:Even Parameswara might not be Iskandar Shah.

My ancestors from my paternal grandmother came from a place known as Singgora.Ok now do your homework and tell me where this place is at present time.Originally posted by strado:Possible, I know of a few ex-classmates of mine, their race is so complicated that you dont even know how to classify them. I think I meant to say don't confuse the tomb at Fort Canning with Parameswara/Iskandar Shah. They might not be the same person.

I have this movie. pretty good stuff.Originally posted by LazerLordz:Saint Jack was banned for showing Singapore in a bad light then, of it's representations of gambling, prostitutions and Singapore as a R&R stop for American sailors coming home from Vietnam. Is it about US$200 for the test? Maybe SGH already has a department doing it that is what I heard from a Singaporean nurse.Hope one day everybody would have the chance to take such test then maybe we wont be too ethnocentric after finding the result.Originally posted by LazerLordz:I heard of this National Geographic DNA testing kit project..
