Why is it wrong to help another state?

  just wondering, Why is it wrong to help another state when that state is in war.
  
  e.g.
  
  you're state A
  
  state B and C are having war right now
  
  why is it wrong to help either of them
  what are the cons of doing so?

  is there, any political benefit in the first place to help another state, if they are being invaded by another war
  
  is the war, justified or has it been legitimize?
  
  is it an pre emptive strike?
  
  so first of all, you never explain clearly enough, why did one country wanted to engage in a warfare with another country, and which country actually launch the first strike, and what are the reason given by the warring state, and why is it, diplomatic fails in the first place? i think, both country have minister of foreign affairs, right?

  Because it is wrong to interfere with other country's internal affairs. It's the most common reason (or excuse, depends on which one u deem fit) given.
  
  So we shouldn't comment about other country's issue if we dun want them to comment on ours.

  since humans are naturally selfish, they need a push to help someone else?
  
  as in. my question is just helping another state fight with a state. :O what are the cons of it.
  
  just a moral dilemma.

  eh i think it is better to help BOTH states at the same time by supplying them with arms like what the arms industry does during WWII for both axis and allied forces

  well it all depends on the cause and purpose of the civil war. we wouldn't have to worry about helping other states because we're singapore though.

  If it were me, I will ask them to settle things in a more peaceful way and after that just keep quiet loh... dun risk too much.. maybe after they fight finish den either go help them rebuild their country or attack them both and swallow them

  in thinking which country to help, the govt thinks which coutry they have more dealings and trade with, and the economic benefits / losses from both sides in doing so. the risks of offending the other side, the benefits you will get in return for helping one.
  
  by helping 1 country means you side with it. all the 'friend' countries of the other country that you didnt help will become more against you.
  
  if you helped a pro us country vs a muslim arab country, do u think you are increasing the chances of terrorist attacks in your country too, if they view you to be pro us and anti arab?
  
  sometimes helping countries, sending $100k over regularly, its like buying goodwill.. because you need them to not hate you.. other times you are bound to help because its a country or state also in your 'group', like ASEAN etc.
