  It will depend on the severity of the misunderstanding.

  often i am misunderstood by pple. if these source is untruth, most properly i will keep quiet about it n no point of explain it if the situation is misadvantage to me.

  Sometimes also must consider, is there anything you may have done that caused the misunderstanding? Did you try to present yourself in a way that you may get understood? Not always the case, but you might need to go back to the cause to find the solution.

  worse come to worse. to agree that we disagree.
  
  i disliked folks that keep banging the word 'misunderstanding' around but dare not face up to 'misunderstanding'.
  
  Its frankly wasting my life time with these people.
  
  after some time, I just ignore them and wish them a better life elsewhere, since they cannot manages the bare minimum that i can handle.
