  becoz u blast too much. last time i use my ipod nano earpiece on PSP also ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ sound come out, i think blast too much the earpiece cannot take it anyway ipod earpiece sound quality is good. but not long lasting

  when the earphone touch my ears got the zzzz sound already
  
  but when its too loud, there's the zzzzzzz sound also

  cannot also i did before already
  
  my Sony earphones which were about $200... 3 days and the left earphone went dead..
  
  called them, ranted at them, gave them back to Sony and a few days later, they gave me a new pair..

  Ideally you should go to Apple? You can try the shop if it's really much more convenient for you...
  
  By any chance if you can't change the earphone... Perhaps you can try tucking at the line to see if the 'zzz' sound would go off?

  go to apple to change.. if your shuffle is stil under warranty, they'll gladly change it for you.. no questions asked..

  set the equaliszer in the ipod lor..... left is bass, middle is like vocal voice, right side ish the sharp sharp tweeter sound
