I would go, just as a form of respect to a national leader. Put politics aside for one day, and realise that he did have his good side as an individual.

i can imagine thousands of singaporeans crowding some street in singapore for his funeral procession. it will be very sad but it will be spectacular because this we havent had such a huge gathering like this for ages.
