  i have this hairstyle, only that I have my fringe, my friend has this type of exact hair style

  really meh? look carefully....the hairstyle is long at the front and relatively quite short at the sides, and long again at the back.....it is not just any out-of-bed messy hairstyle loh.
  
  but anyone can provide tips on how to get this hairstyle?
  like, the front part must not cut for 2 months to make it long etc.?
  then in front how to spike? it's not really spiky, but a little natural-looking.......thanks!

  2 months should be enough. use wax or styling paste, the non-hardening type. just use hand/fingers run through from front to back. use hairdryer to make it look abit more natural.

  See before alot time last time i love this hair and cut tt but nt layered at back quite ugly lar ...

  you can have better hairstyle with that length.
  
  unless, you dont like to keep your fringe. if not you can go for better hairstyle.

  yeap, quite short at the sides, layered at the back..long in front.
  but i nv bother to style my sides
  
  the longer your hair the harder it is to maintain this type of hairstyle

  but wait....when you style the front part, how to style?
  is it apply the wax on the hands, rub it evenly and then pull a bunch of hairs together at the front, twist it to make it spiky?
  because in the sample picture, the guys' spikes like quite natural like that.
  
  i was thinking that if i pull a group of hair strands, twist them and pull them up to make it spiky, the end result will be those very hard, sharp and stiff spikes, not the kind you see in the pic above.
  
  any tips would be nice.
