fellow forumer detached has bought me to thinking.
The typical Singaporean at another countries complaining.
The complaints about Foreigners in Singapore, not respecting Singapore & their filthy habits.
And the hospitality that I am lacking, against the TS at 'In Memory of Shanmugan Murugesan'.
Whats is your standard of hospitality and what are considered good hospitality on this online forum? -

The world expect this of us in everything.
And we try to deliver.
Succeeding in some areas, not in others.
And the world have a field day with us.
Same with hospitality, we are not allowed to be what we are.
But we must be like what "they" expect us to be.
Therefore: "Whats is your standard of hospitality and what are considered good hospitality on this online forum?" Pray do tell us. -

Quite frequently, that is what is followed. Ones give as good as one gets.
And many times I have noticed that replys are unnecessarily harsh and vulgar, and that is unwarranted.
In Papua New Guinea treachery, is common and even lauded.
In the Middle East, if you are not strong, you are game for attack and looting and raids.
In this forum, it seems to be open season at all time, for the uncouth. These are the bane of this forum.
Of course, there are those who like to indulge in a reasoned and measured discussion. And there are those who like to exercise their sense of humour. These forumers are what that make this forum enjoyable.
Nevertheless, this is the www, the wild wild web, and as in any frontier situation, there is only so much a sheriff can do. It is really up to the individual to behave in an appropriate manner, and expect of others to behave in like manner.
Therefore, conduct yourself appropriately, state your standards cleary, or desist from the discussion. That the most you can do. -

It is the efforts of a host to make the visitors feel comfortable and welcomed. Like I mentioned in the other thread; one can disagree or agree freely, but there is not a need to resort to sarcasm or demeaning to other.
It is mere kindness and consideration for the vistors; an act of graciousness. With all due respect, if one think that life is about getting even; then there is not much goodness to speak of that person. I direct this at no one; just food for thought. -

because that person is a guest (A)?
Hospitaity dictates that the guest be treated with honour.
Also the guest has a responsibility to reciprocate.
So guest (A) spits on the carpet.
Someone else (B) spit back at (A).
Both have broken the Rules of Hospitality.
The host would express his disapproval to (A)
and his abhorrence to (B).
In this BB, it is open for participants to contribute.
The quality (or lack of) of the contribution is to be tolerated.
But personal attack on the contributor is to be avoided. -
