being metrosexual is nothing wrong. most singaporean men are so narrow-minded to accept such things. it's all about your image.
Finally one mature post in this thread.
EDIT: for those of you not in the know .. many, and I mean many MNCS and professional firms do give their male employees a grooming allowance for them to spend however they wish. The most common would be on haircuts and waxing of facial hair, including eyebrows. This is in addition to their 6 figure salary on top of a 6 figure bonus. Employees are agents of their employers and the public image of an artificial entity that is the corporation - and no one likes to deal with a bunch of hobos.
Even for non-execs, I think it's basic that a man should look clean.
The fact that many forumers here cannot draw the line between metrosexuality and homosexuality, and the public display of homophobia here, alarms me.
EDIT: To be fair, I ain't no impartial observer. I'm a straight adult male and I'm a professional. I wax my eyebrows every month and I shave every two days. I don't have coloured hair, and I spend minimal time on it, going so far only as to keep it neat and tidy. Am I a homosexual? or metrosexual? I don't think so. I just think that it's a good reflection on myself that I'm always presentable; work or no work.
