Which courses in uni are not so popular/have low cutoff pt?

  Or to put it in a more direct way, which courses are dumping ground for not so good students applying for ntu/nus ah?

  Popular as in the course is really what the students want to apply for, rather than just based on numbers of students in the course.
  
  I myself am from engineering and from many friends, engineering is not their first choice and they will rather study in other courses.

  last time i heard science is a dumping ground. used also to be arts but not anymore becos many girls go there and as a result many guys also go there for the girls...

  I think Civil Engrg. not very popular cos people not keen to work in construction under hot sun.

  Building and Real Estate
  Certain engineering (Enviromental, Industrial and Systems)
  FASS (some majors are hotly contested, but generally it is still a dumping ground)
  
  Yeah these 3 are the dumping grounds.

  Those two engine are damn hard to get in. both of them have around 40 places each. Industrial and Systems engineers r damn sought after to work in banks n logistics. Loads of money. Environmental engineers r damn sought after by consultancy firms.
  
  Civil Eng use to be a dumping ground but that is based in cyclical economic swings.
  
  Science (not all majors)seemed to be easy to get in a few yrs ago.Now i assure u all are hard to get in becoz of the dragon yr.

  It seemed to me that due to the influx of foreign students, the criteria for local students has been much stricter than it used to be when I got my place.
  
  It applies to all schools and faculties, not just certain areas. Peharps the term "dumping ground" may be changed to included those who does not have straight -As in future.
