do you think that the USA economy running on debt is a recipe for disaster?
they borrow to spend, borrow to buy houses. basically it can be said that they borrow for everything.
on one hand, it lead to this extraordinary boom in the world's economy. on the other hand, what is going to happen when it crashes? -
btw, isn't every country doin the same thing too?

nooope. not to their extent at least. certain countries run a surplus.

Yep.. America is in huge debts and Mr Bush just signed another USD 100 Billion for wars in middle east or something..
There is definitely an inevitable disaster waiting to happen. We have to just wait and see how long it takes. America will lead the world in it too

yes, but when the USA starts to head into recession, it'll drag china down which will then drag the whole world down together.
i mentioned to my friend once, i wonder how china will cope with 100million people jobless.
and i got the feeling that it'll happen just when i get out of university.

actually...its not such a bad thing for the global economy to crash. Thats when people will really treasure living. Esp. in Singapore when we slave like dogs...when the day comes when there's nothing left to work for...its time to restart everything and look at things from a different perspective. We being humans have taken alot alot for granted for a very long time. Its like the "big bang" theory kinda thing...its a big restart button for everything.So it may atually be a good thing.
