Sian.. alright thanks.Originally posted by ceecookie:Nope, not allowed.
cool, just what i needed to noe, but i cant see this route from streetdirectory.com's map.. do tell me more. Like i go along tanjong rhu then at the end will have a staircase, which leads to benjamin sheares bridge and i can then cycle across it?Originally posted by sinicker:you cant cycle on the highway.
but on benjamin sheares bridge you can come up by tg rhu road den got staircase to carry it up den u can cycle up the bridge to the other side near suntec.
i've seen an entourage of cyclists coming in by whitley rd and exiting at onraet rd along the PIE. very daring.
you cycle along tg rhu road all the way till the end. there's the roundabout thing where all the heavy vehicles bike. you have to carry your bike and trudge thru high lalangs and overgrown grass to reach the staircase. it'll be behind this condo lah.. den you just go up the stairs and when you're up you can cycle slowly. very steep upslope.Originally posted by OmnislasherFX:cool, just what i needed to noe, but i cant see this route from streetdirectory.com's map.. do tell me more. unless you're cloud strife, i dunnoOriginally posted by OmnislasherFX:Hi. I believe most of us have seen people riding bicycles on highways but isit actually allowed? Just need to check this out because I and a group of friends are going to cycle on a few highways for this trail that we have planned. If any1 is familiar with this, please help, thanks.
P.S. The highway i'm most concerned with would be the part at the end of ecp, going across the kallang basin, towards suntec. Pls advice me on this thankss.

alright, thanks once again. just to make sure tt i dun get lost on tt day, can indicate to me which box the staircase should be at on this map?Originally posted by sinicker:you cycle along tg rhu road all the way till the end. there's the roundabout thing where all the heavy vehicles bike. you have to carry your bike and trudge thru high lalangs and overgrown grass to reach the staircase. it'll be behind this condo lah.. den you just go up the stairs and when you're up you can cycle slowly. very steep upslope.
but when the downslope just dun get too excited and pedal fast. i have a cyclometer on my bike and the max speed i got was 55km/h. remember to anticipate braking coz' there's 3 steps on the rochor road end of the slip road!

no lalangs at all. just got to cycle under shears bridge. when ur going down shears bridge, just becareful of the road direction signages mounted beside padestrian path. Yeah, the end is quite abrupt, so prepare ur bakes wellOriginally posted by sinicker:you cycle along tg rhu road all the way till the end. there's the roundabout thing where all the heavy vehicles bike. you have to carry your bike and trudge thru high lalangs and overgrown grass to reach the staircase. it'll be behind this condo lah.. den you just go up the stairs and when you're up you can cycle slowly. very steep upslope.
