recently, i bought 3 shirts from Giordano for $18 total (great singapore sale).
all are black ones, and when my mom put the shirts in a basin to soak and wash with other shirts, the little linen "fur" from the shirts come off when contact with water and you can see tons of very tiny tiny fabric bits in the water.
and when you put white shirts to soak with these black shirts, you can see tons of black fabric bits latching onto the white shirts.
is this due to the quality of the shirts? i got 1 other black shirt whose quality is very good and it doesn't give off any "hairs" when washed.
anyone knows whether there's a better way to wash these kind of shirts?
my mom didn't use the washing machine, she never scrub the shirts and she never use bleach or anything. just gentle water soaking and it still happens.
any advice would be good.
thanks all,
nikar.
that's lint.... cheap shirts, cheap threads.. 1stly u can't mix colours.. 2ndly, it's normal for new cheap shirts to have alot of loose little threads... 3rdly, don't soak in anything above room temperature, or with too much strong detergent.. they kill cheap threads
