i played at ochid country club and at discovery centre.names are tag paintball and crossfire paintball respectively.prices are such
tagpaintball: to enter or whatever i think its 15 or 25.paintballs are 250 for 1000.after u but 1000 it becomes 200 for 1000 balls.
crossfirepaintball : enter i dont know how much but its 15 for one magazine (20paintballs) or 20 for 2 magazines...may seem like its alot more expensive but crossfire is more of a 1 shot 1 kill situation when its tactical and tag is more "meng" where u shoot more to cover your teammates while they run to get the objectives

EDIT: personally i find tag paintball more fun..more excitement as more balls are flying overhead...crossfire u run from cover to cover so yeah..btw for the fun to begin u must hav brave teammates who dare to move up..those i had were so scared they stayed behind and did nothing -
the one at country club is about retriving a suitcase at the center right ?
And the one at discovery center got very big open place like maze or castle , no objective (plain shooting)
There a tv show about paintball right , i think call crossfire izzit , any idea where can watch that again , cant find it anyway -

1. very hard to get alot friend to go
2. not all friend are rich , result in problem 1 -

was about to book then both reserve and another goondu back out

There is a 3 man tournament for novices in JB on the 30thJune -1st July weekend its only RM50 per person with FREE Paint.
The RED SEVENS are looking for people who are interested in playing to join us.
All levels of skills are welcome- this is a novice competition you will all be using the house markers and playing with other novice players.
If you have played before or never played- this tournament the CHEAPEST way to TRYOUT paintball. If you walk on or book to play in any PB field JB you'd have to pay about RM50-80 excluding extras. This tournament gives you FREE paint plus you get a few games organised for you with proper marshalling. Its a great opportunity for you to try paintball cheaply.
To show you the difference - we shoot about RM500 of paint per person for a MPOC tournament.

In JB its about RM200-320 per box - thats SGD90 per box.
We train in KL and we pay about RM180 per box we shoot 1-2 boxes for training and 4-5 boxes in tournaments.
We can take you up to JB to play with us and teach you how to play- the cost would be around RM50-80 per person plus rentals of Marker (gun) goggles and chest protector and pellets.

paintball is like running around with water-like pipes shooting mini balloons at each other. the range of a paintball marker(notice the word "gun" is rarely used in paintball jargons, as you well see later) is very much limited and thus restricts the size of the field playable.
the gears painballers don are generally colorful and tournamentish looking, which in the eyes of mil-sim fans such as airsofters, an attempt to break away from the misconception of war-loving violent atmosphere(very untrue) which mil-sim players tend to potray to the unfortunate opinion of the general public . to some extend, some newbie paintballers think the same as the former.
believe it or not, paintball first started out as a tool for marking trees in plantation(can't remember as to why but you can read that up if you're interested). it later became popular and thus heavily marketed as an "extreme sport", which explains the flashy gears and markers so as to mould it into a more accepting sport.
it's a sad thing airsoft is still illegal in singapore(apart from some clubs which are springing up but still, it's only IPSC at best and you must store your guns in an armoury, which of course they will charge u, not the mention the already high cost of the gun itself). it's a hugely potential niche market and if it ever becomes an open market, paintball might very well face extinction albeit some hardcore fans will remain loyal to their beloved sport. this is what is happening in Hong Kong. -
my friends and i wanted to play paintball once. but it was too difficult to get a group of people committed enough to come down. AND it was too expensive for a bunch of hyperactive teenagers lol.

We are all very commited to come out and play. Playing in JB will be ALOT CHEAPER than playing in Singapore.
At the moment we're preparing for the Penang Cup MPOC tournament which is in 2 weeks time on thr 30June-1st July. The team will be going up to KL for training this weekend 23-24 and the follwing weekend we will be in Penang. We're looking at going up to JB with new players in mid July.
We're also fielding a second team in the JB 3 man tournament which is on at the same weekend as the Penang Cup- its very cheap and good for novices and newbies. We encourge newbies and novices to come and play in this tournament because its very CHEAP with FREE PAINT only RM50 for registration and you'll get games and marshalling all organised for you. Don't worry if you cant find 3 guys to come with you- just contact us and we'll organise a team for you.
