  beach road there used to have one
  sell all sorts of fishing gear
  dunno still there or not
  
  my dad used to go there and buy abu garcia stuff

  eh.. actually depends on what kind of fishing you are doing. If you small time fisher, eg. go bedok jetty fish for fun, then <$50 can get you a rod that's good enough
