I wanna visit my grandma at the old folks home but.....

Ah ma used to stay with me when i was a kid....
She looked after me since i was born and mum and dad was busy working that time, so she's the closest to me....
I used to hate her coz she always cane me that time...
I was her favourite grandson and she loved me a lot...
At first, it seems like all her children (3 sons including my dad and 3 daughters) are very filial children.
Every weekend will come my house and visit her....
Then come one day when mom have to go overseas to work, (and i fell into bad company) and no one would look after her should anything happened.
Ah ma realised that she couldn't control me anymore... I'm not the small baby i used to be...
So they made a choice where she's going to stay....
In the end, she became like a pinball being flicked around.....
And that was when we saw the true side of them(my relative).....
She was a strong 90 years old lady for her age,
then one day she felt sick and was bed ridden...
It was then they decided to send her to a home....
I've visited her in the past, she could still recognize me that time....
But that was like 3 years ago....
Recently, my sis visited her, she told me she can't recognize anyone anymore...
And even told her 'to go' coz sis can't bear to see her suffer.....
Mom ask me to go see her, maybe i'm her fav grandson and she's been waiting to see me after all these years? Then she'll 'go'?
The reason why i didn't go is, I hate bumping into my relatives, and i fear what i'll see.... that my ah ma's no longer the same ah ma... an old frail lady who's struggling to stay alive just to wait for that someone to visit..... with eyes half closed.....
Today, I'll be going.... I hope i will....
And hope that she will leave this world peacefully..... -

Go because you love her. Do not let your fear of seeing another image of your grandma hinder you. If so, then it's selfish. Go because you will always remember how she has taken care of you. It does not matter if she does not recognise you.
When she really passes on, that's when you will really regret.

I feel kinda sad for both the TS and his grandma.
All I can do is to STRONGLY advise you to go. Just put yourself in your grandma shoes, how will you feel if the grandchild you raised up turn out to be a hooligan at a young age and refuse to visit me? I doubt the feeling will be sweet and comforting.
Furthermore, your grandma is not in a pretty good state now. Go before she leaves our world. Using reasons like "don't wanna see other relatives" or "what if she is not the grandma that is like before" isn't really right. Unless you're telling me your grandma is swapped by some other people and she is not your biological grandma. Visit her for who she is, not what she is. Who cares bout your relatives? Ignore them, you're here for the one who took care of you when you're young.
Other suggestions from me is to bring any food that she likes or constantly chat with her in her native dialect and tell her any past stories of any happy memories you all had together when you're young. Let her be happy before she goes. -
