I need some pictures or factual accounts regarding the suffering and treatment the people underwent during the Occupation. the POWs accounting and all.
I tried searching for some pictures, but they don't turn up useful. -

maybe you might wanna buy some history textbooks for secondary students? i remember studying about japanese occupation. the book's called "understanding our past" published by Times Publishing Group.

hmm i guess the info u r trying to find is beyond the textbook.
well i suggest if u dun wanna spend money, u can go the library to check it out becos there r lots of such history books regarding the world war 2 in singapore. -

I think you can go to the Borders' history section and look at some books by Brian Farell and Peter Thompson on the fall of Singapore.

As for the POWs, most likely you won't find them in SG anymore, they should be back home. And if they are alive to this date...
Try reading the LKY book...
Also, if you want pictures, try Serangoon. I know this area got some tombs or something. Don't know, go to Peicai Sec and ask for help. They organized a tour around this area before. -

If im not wrong,the japs invaded on the pretext of liberating s'pore from colonial rule which some people did not like. Initially, people welcomed the japs but after seeing what the japs did, the decided to fight against the japs.
